Everything in ShapeWars is either made by its creator or used with permission. This page records which is which, and under what terms.
The Rainbow Cat that roams the arena is Nyan Cat, created by Chris Torres (PRguitarman), used in ShapeWars with his written permission and on his conditions:
The credit also appears permanently on the game's main menu.
Multiplayer is built on Colyseus, an open-source multiplayer framework, used under its MIT licence.
The flags shown on ships in the Country Names preset come from flag-icons by Panayiotis Lipiridis, used under its MIT licence. A flag is a state's own symbol; the particular drawings of them are that project's work.
The game code, the ship and arena artwork, the interface, the sound effects and the music were made for ShapeWars by its creator. The AI opponents' names are fiction and reference only, with no affiliation or endorsement implied or claimed — see the note on the terms page.
